# How to ask an AI to explain the parts of a 3D model in VR

Open the model at 0xr.space on a Meta Quest, enter the room and press Zero on the dock. Ask what a part is, or point at it and say what is this. Zero answers aloud and lights up the parts it names for about six seconds. Ask it to show only the engine, hide the red parts, pull the model apart or cut it in half. For a list, a set of steps or a comparison it puts a note card in the room; say put it away when you are done.

Zero finds parts by the names, materials and colours stored in the file. A model whose parts are called Mesh_012 gives it little to work with, and a scan or a photo model has no parts at all. What it says about a part comes from a cloud AI service, Google's Gemini Live, so check anything important.

## Steps

1. Open 0xr.space in the Quest browser or the Model Explorer app and open the model.
2. Press View in your space, then press Zero on the dock and allow the microphone.
3. Ask: what is this part, show only the wheels, hide the roof, explode it.
4. Ask for steps or a comparison to get a note card, and say put it away to clear it.

## Questions

### Why can it not find the part I asked about?

The file does not name it. Zero matches the names, materials, colours and simple shapes in the model; a part named only by a number cannot be found by what it is.

### Can I undo what it hid?

Yes. Ask it to show everything again or to reset the view.

### Does it work outside VR?

Yes. On a phone or computer the same questions work on the page, with parts lighting up on screen.

### Is my model sent to the AI?

The file is not. Zero is told the model's name and part names, and your speech goes to Google's Gemini Live service.
