Open 0xr.space in the Quest browser, or the free Model Explorer app from the Meta Horizon Store, press Open and choose the splat file, then press View in your space. It opens a .ply from a splat trainer, SuperSplat's .compressed.ply, a packed .splat, .spz, .ksplat, SuperSplat's .sog, whether as one file, unzipped to a folder of meta.json and pictures, or streamed (lod-meta.json), an XGRIDS scanner's .lcc folder, and point clouds as .pcd, LAS, LAZ, XYZ or PTS. There is no account to make and the file is read on the headset.

A large splat holds millions of splats, more than a standalone headset can draw at frame rate. The headset draws as many as keep it smooth, so a big capture can look softer on Quest than on a desktop. Trimming the capture to what you need gives a sharper result.

## Steps

1. Export the splat from your capture app or trainer as .ply, .spz, .sog or .ksplat.
2. Get the file onto the headset: a cloud drive opened in the Quest browser, or a USB copy into the Download folder.
3. Open 0xr.space, press Open and choose the file.
4. Press View in your space. Walk into it, or scale it down to a tabletop model.

## Questions

### Do I need an account, like on some splat viewers?

No. Nothing is signed into and nothing is uploaded unless you create a share link.

### Why does my splat look softer than on my computer?

The headset draws fewer splats from a very large file to keep a steady frame rate. A smaller or trimmed capture keeps more of its detail.

### Can I share a splat with a link?

Not yet. Share links work for meshes such as GLB, USDZ and STL; a splat stays on the device it was opened on for now.

### How do I open an XGRIDS .lcc scan?

Choose the whole folder the .lcc is in, since its splats are kept in data.bin and index.bin beside it. The finest level of detail up to four million splats is shown; the sky and environment splats and the extra colour bands are left out.

### Does a streamed SuperSplat scene open?

Yes. Choose the folder with lod-meta.json. One level of detail is shown, the finest up to four million splats, not the streamed whole.
