A Snow Globe is a small novelty decor item popular around the holiday season. It comprises an enclosed glass sphere containing a miniature deer, usually surrounded by a snowy, winter scene. When shaken, the globe simulates falling snow over the scenery. The first patented snow globes date back to the late 19th century.
