The Sokol space suit is a type of pressure suit worn by astronauts during launch and landing aboard the Russian Soyuz spacecraft. Developed by the Soviet Union and introduced in the 1970s, the Sokol suit is designed to provide life support in case of cabin depressurization. It consists of a durable rubberized fabric with an airtight helmet, gloves, and boots, and includes connections for a lifesupport system to supply oxygen and remove carbon dioxide. Unlike full extravehicular suits, the Sokol is intended for intravehicular use only, ensuring astronaut safety during critical phases of space m
