The Colt Navy Revolver, also known as the Colt 1851 Navy or simply the Colt Navy, is a cap-and-ball revolver. It was designed by Samuel Colt between 1847 and 1850. It remained in production until 1873, and was used extensively during the American Civil War. Its caliber was .36, with a 7.5 inch barrel.
