Open 0xr.space, press Open and choose the .abc. Its polygon meshes and subdivision surfaces are read in the browser with their transforms, normals, UVs and vertex colours, and shown as one model you can turn, cut through and place in the room on a Quest or an ARCore phone. Instances and hidden objects are respected.
It shows the first frame: an animated cache is not played, and the app says so. Curves, points, cameras and NURBS are skipped, a subdivision surface is drawn as its control cage, and materials are not read, so faces take their vertex colour or a default grey. Files in the old HDF5 layout, from before Alembic 1.5, are refused; save them again from your tool. Alembic has no units, so the model is read as the numbers say.
No. The first frame of each mesh is shown and the app notes that the file is animated.
It was written by an Alembic older than 1.5. Re-export it from Maya, Houdini or Blender, which write the newer Ogawa layout, or export a GLB.
Curves and points are not drawn, only polygon meshes and subdivision surfaces.
No. It is read on the device, and nothing is sent to a server unless you create a share link yourself.
