Model Explorer by ZeroXR

How to search for 3D models in your own language

Type in the Search field at the top of 0xr.space. It filters the models on your device as you type, and from two characters it also searches the Gallery, showing up to 12 matches. The Gallery is written in English, so a query that finds nothing, or one with accents, is translated into English on the server: ghế finds chairs, and a misspelt word finds its model. When that happens, the status line names the English words it searched for.

Only the Gallery half is translated. Your own models are matched on their title, format, author and description as written, with accents ignored, and each word you type has to start a word there. Gallery search needs a connection and sends the words you type to the server. Choosing a result imports a copy onto the device.

Questions

Why does it say No Gallery model matches that search?

Neither your words nor their English translation matched a model. Try the plain name of the object, such as lamp or car.

Is my search sent anywhere?

The Gallery half sends the query to the server, which may pass it to a text model to translate. Filtering your own models happens on the device.

Does Search look inside my files?

No. It matches the names and details stored with each model, not its parts or textures.
