Nearby is a list of models other people chose to share publicly. On 0xr.space it sits on Home under a divider that reads Nearby and a count, and when a new one is listed while Home is open a card headed New public model offers Not now and View. It is ordered nearest first, by the approximate region of your network connection: the web page never asks for your location. Nothing on your device is listed unless you share it.
A share is listed by default. In the Share dialog, List in Nearby starts switched on; turn it off and the button becomes Create private link. After sending a link through a phone's share sheet, a Link sent dialog asks the same: switch it off and press Done. Closing that dialog any other way lists the model about 60 seconds later. A listing shows the title, the creator and the town or region it was shared from, and lasts 30 days. Only your own models are listed, never a gallery model or one shared with you. If the link belongs to your account, Settings, then Account, then Your links can remove it from Nearby. Nearby is not available in every country.
No. The web page never asks the browser where it is. The region is read from your network connection, which is why no distances are shown.
Yes, if the link belongs to your account: open Settings, then Account, then Your links, choose it and press Remove from Nearby, or Delete link. A link made while signed out can be added to your account from the device that made it. Deleting the model from your device does not unlist it, and a link no account owns stays listed until it expires 30 days later.
They are nearest first. Shares within about 100 km come before the rest, and where none are close, public listings from further away fill the list.
Yes. In the Quest app, Share on the dock in a session lists the model, because there is no dialog there to turn it off. Share from the page for a private link.
