Model Explorer by ZeroXR

Ways to make a 3D model without 3D software

Model Explorer at 0xr.space makes 3D models from pictures in three ways, with no modelling. Photo → 3D turns one photo into a textured model in one to two minutes. All photos → 3D splat takes 20 or more photos, or a video, of one object and builds a Gaussian splat in a few minutes. On a Meta Quest 3, Scan names the things in the room and makes the one you press or name.

Photo → 3D guesses the far side and allows 20 a day for each device and network. The splat builder is switched off at times. None makes a model from words, and none gives a CAD model with exact dimensions.

Questions

Is any of this free?

Yes, all of it, with no sign-in. Photo → 3D allows 20 models a day for each device and network.

Which one gives a model I can 3D print?

Photo → 3D, whose result is a mesh: Download STL is on its card's menu, with a free account. Its size is not measured, so set it in the slicer. A splat cannot be downloaded.

What do the camera features send and keep?

See the privacy page at https://0xr.space/privacy/ for what the camera features send and keep. 3D files you open are read on your device.

Can it make a model from a text description?

No. Model Explorer has no text-to-3D; Zero can only show a rough stand-in of simple shapes.
