As of 15 September 2026 it is not confirmed that you can open your own GLB or USDZ model in a web browser on Steam Frame. Valve has not documented which browser the headset ships with or whether it supports WebXR, which is what a browser-based viewer like Model Explorer needs.
What is known: Steam Frame runs SteamOS on a Snapdragon chip, works both standalone and streaming from a PC, has black-and-white passthrough (colour needs an add-on camera), and can run Android apps that do not depend on Google Play Services. This page will be updated once the viewer has been tried on the headset itself.
Not confirmed. It needs a browser with WebXR, and Valve has not said whether Steam Frame has one. No claim is made here until it has been tested.
Also not confirmed. A streamed desktop browser would need its own WebXR path to the headset, and that has not been tested either.
In the Meta Quest 3 and 3S browser with the model in your room, and in Safari on Apple Vision Pro in a fully virtual view.
